Schizophyllum commune (Splitgill Mushroom)

A true native species, this edible Splitgill Mushroom was cultured from spores collected from a single fruit body found in Singapore. An extremely prolific strain that pushes out masses of mushrooms- move over, social distancing! Very easy to grow and very difficult to mess up. Even if fruit bodies shrivel up from lack of misting, simply drenching the mushrooms will make them perk back right up.

This mushroom can be used to make chutneys and much more. If you wish to try out new mushrooms and new recipes, this grow kit is for you!

To fruit this species, cut off the plastic bag at the substrate level and introduce to fruiting conditions.
