REFUSE is a collaborative effort led by Singapore’s very own The Observatory. Part experiential, part archival, this exhibition quickly became one of the top ten shows of Singapore Art Week 2022.

From a fully-functioning mycelium electric lap steel guitar, to jars of Ganoderma growing towards pulsing mycelium lamps activated by CO2 generated by the very mushrooms, this exhibition was a visual and sonic feast for art lovers in Singapore.

Commissioned by the Singapore Art Museum as the opening show for their new site at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, the 3-month long exhibition attracted large crowds and larger-than-life reviews.
